The Layered Approach to the
Osteopathic Lesion
The Layered Approach to the
Osteopathic Lesion
This course is designed for anyone looking to learn more about what they are feeling and how to use the information to assess patients for dysfunctions. The Osteopathic lesion will be the centre of the focus to determine what approach to take to best help the patient. What approach is most effective and safe for this patient, deciding which level of palpation tells you where to start with the lesion. Can liquid and metabolism effect the ability of the lesion to be corrected. How to be sure?
We will look at the use of energy, solids and liquids to determine what is the correct layer to approach the correction from. We will use Osteoarticular assessments, energetic assessments, and using literature support the use of both in our approach.
Combining physiological approaches to treatment a plan will be generated for each assessment finding. A full discussion on age related changes in bone, safety and what happens in each decade as we age that may make OA corrections damaging rather then therapeutic. This course was taught in Winnipeg in July and was met with appreciation from those who attended.
Embryological palpation and treatment
Embryological palpation and treatment
Designed for Osteopathy this course covers the development of the human structure. It can be taken by any manual therapist that is looking for a better understanding of the design and connections found in the human body. Palpation of the motions of Embryological development will be covered. This course is available online by clicking here: https://squirrelinhands.teachable.com/p/embryology-cco-ceo-sico
In addition to this course Brad is teaching a graduate course on Embryological palpation and identification of patterns in the adult. This 2 day course covers how to feel the embryological energetic movements in the adult, how to identify patterns and epigenetics as a possible explanation for what we feel with our hands in our patients. This course was held in Toronto in July and is booked in Vancouver in February.

The use of Chapman's Reflexes in Osteopatic Manual Therapy started almost a hundred years ago. It is still a valid tool for assessing acute organ conditions and to treat patients who cannot have visceral manipulation due to their pathologies. This fine palpation tool is easy to learn and effective to use. Courses can be customized from 1 day to two day. Brad's Masters Thesis was on Chapman's Reflexes. His expertise in the palpation of these points has been validated and tested.

Advanced Treatment of the Upper Extremity
Advanced Treatment of the Upper Extremity
Using manual therapy skills, treatment of adhesive capulitis, tendonitis, thoracic outlet syndrome, and raynauds syndrome will be covered. Use of fascial relaease, unwinding, and structural corrections will be focused on to provide a complete treatment plan for patients with upper extremity symptoms. Nerve compression will also be looked at and analysed.
Seated Facet Release
Seated Facet Release
This osteopathic concept using a seated position for the patient will allow the participant to learn how to palpate open and closed facets on the spine. Using the seated position treatment will be applied in a soft safe manner. This type of treatment can be used for any patient but is very effective in a geriatric population

Management of patients in all stages of healing with this condition, discussions on when and when not to use OA corrections when addressing these patients. Multilayered approach to the correction of these lesions is also covered.
